There was a lot of buzz around New Worlds, and the recent Insider Beta for Amazon MMOs has kept the excitement even higher. The release date for the much anticipated game from Amazon Games is getting closer and New Worlds has been set for September 28th. If you are looking forward to the release of the MMORPG, then you can watch the opening night of Gamescom 2021 live today.

It has been announced that New World players will be able to get free skins for the game at Gamescom ONL.

The event, hosted by Geoff Keighley, begins at 7 p.m. BST and features rewards for New World players via Twitch drops.

When announcing the news, Keighley wrote: "Tomorrow @twitch viewers of @gamescom #OpeningNightLive can unlock special costume skin drops in @playnewworld by watching 15 minutes of the show on the main channel or one of the affiliated co-presenters."

New World tweet added, "Tune in to #PlayNewWorld on @gamescom #OpeningNightLive tomorrow at 10:30 am (1:30 am EST) to get the green catcher skin from Twitch Drops!

Follow the 3 steps below to enable Twitch Drops for your New World Steam account. Once you've linked your Twitch and Steam accounts, any newly claimed New World Twitch Drops will automatically be sent to your Steam account.

- Sign in with your Twitch account

- Connect your account

- Activate New World Twitch Drops

The New World website adds, "To receive a drop, log into Twitch, make sure your profile is online, and watch any New World broadcasts marked 'Enable Drops'.

"When you have reached your drop target, pay attention to the prompt to collect at the beginning of the chat. You can also access or check the progress of your drop target at any time in Twitch's Drops list. You must first make a drop in the Drop reception game You can learn more about this in the Twitch Help topic.

"Once you have signed up, connect your Twitch account to your Steam account to receive your rewards."
