A smooth and even skin texture appears more flattering in person. People with even complexion are blessed to look radiant even without any makeup. That’s the reason people are now more into the skincare regime. And why not! Nothing beats naturally healthy-looking skin.

Another reason for improving your skin texture is makeup application. People with textured skin must agree with me on this. Makeup won’t last for long on skin that has large open pores, dry patches, or clogged bumps. And that's irritating sometimes, especially when someone watches you closely.

Skin caring is as important as eating food on time. So I have come up with some tips that you must include in your beauty regime to get a smooth texture. Let’s dive into the skincare routine for smooth skin texture. All the tips are recommended by the best makeup artist and hairstylist in Pune and Maharashtra.

Cleansing is Everything to Get Clear Complexion:

Who doesn’t want that clean face? Well, to get smooth skin, cleansing is the first step to do. Wash your face twice a day. Oily people can wash their face thrice a day. This process removes all the dirt and pollution from the pores. It opens up the pores and lets the ingredients of face wash perform their work.

Double cleansing is another way of cleaning in which; you need to first break the waterproof makeup with oil. Oils could be coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, jojoba oil, etc. Massage the oil onto the face, wipe it with cotton pads, and then wash it off with a mild foaming cleanser.

The idea is to wash off waterproof makeup, oil, and gunks trap inside the endodermis layer of your face. Face wash helps to wash off the makeup and oil without stripping off the moisture from your face. This process helps to maintain the moisture level of the skin. If double cleansing suits your skin, then you should keep trying this.

Regular Exfoliation is The Best for Improving Skin Texture:

You might have bumpy texture or blackheads on your face that are pretty prominent. It could be frustrating to see those black dots on your nose, chin, or even on your cheeks. These issues develop when you don’t clean your pores deeply.

Exfoliation is the process that helps to open out the pores and remove those stubborn blackheads and whiteheads from them. Two types of exfoliation processes are there physical exfoliation and chemical exfoliation.

You can try any one of them or maybe both. That totally depends on your personal preference. In physical exfoliation, tiny beads inside the exfoliating cream remove the blackheads and whiteheads. Massage it in a circular motion without putting any pressure. Use exfoliators once a week is enough.

Whereas in chemical exfoliation, you only need to apply chemical exfoliators on the face; that’s it. Either use them under makeup or during the night and then sleep. They deeply penetrate the skin and do their work effectively.

Steaming is a Therapy:

Who doesn’t love pampering their skin? Everybody, right! We all love to pamper our skin during weekends. Steaming is actually the most effective way to deep clean your skin. It opens up the pores and melts down those stubborn oils that are trapped deep inside the pores.

How are you going to do it? Boil the water and then place your face onto the steam, comes out from the boiling water. Cover your face with a towel to trap the vapors and let the steam open out your pores.

Do it for at least 10-15 minutes and, then tap off the water from the face. This process must be done at least once a week to even out the texture.

Face Masks or Sheet Masks Are Great For Smooth Texture:

Girls love trying new face masks that have just come out in the market. Applying face masks is quite a pampering session in your skincare routine. They also work as an exfoliator and remove all the dead cells from the epidermis layer.

They fight with almost all skin issues and provide a soothing effect. On the other hand, sheet masks are pretty tempting in today's skincare routine. They contain liquid essence that is easy to penetrate deeply into the pores and do their magic in one go.

Sheet masks are much more pampering than regular face packs. That's the reason for their increasing demand in the market. The purpose of sheet masks is to improve the hydration level of the skin. They do not perform exfoliation.

Moisturization is The Key For Smooth Skin:

We all want that glowy skin with a smooth texture. Whatever your skin type is, you must apply moisturizer to your face. Even oily people need moisturization daily. Our skin needs nourishment for a healthy glow.

Dry people can use thick hydrating cream whereas, oily people can use oil-free moisturizers, or even aloe vera gel works wonders for them. Although, you must apply moisturizer after exfoliating your face or applying face masks to put moisture back into the skin.

Put Your SPF on:

Tell me first, who uses SPF in their skincare routine? Most people don't include sunscreen in their skincare routine, and some forget to apply it. Sunscreens are the most underrated but the most crucial step in the skincare routine.

Sunscreens help to block the harmful UV rays and protect our skin from them. They come in matte and dewy formulas. So choose them according to your preference and skin condition. Apply it after moisturizer and 20-25 minutes before heading out.

Hydrate Your Body:

Last but not least! Drink lots and lots of water to get a smooth and glowing texture. You must drink at least 3-4 liters of water daily. About 60% of our body is water, so you can understand how crucial water is for our body.

Water helps to hydrate the skin and removes all the toxins from the body. It helps to improve the quality of skin as well as hair. So it's ideal to set the target of 3 liters of water intake.

You can drink detox water; to add some value, put lemon slices and mint leaves in it. This detox water helps to dissolve all the free radicals and excrete them out from the body. Your skin will feel soft, glowy, and smooth after a regular intake of water.
