Dont know why im downvoted either considering I actually work with the NFL broadcasting group and have all the Mut 21 coins numbers at my desk. There wasn't anything on your first remark that hinted that you'd"inside" knowledge. You're likely being downvoted by men and women who have watched preseason. Educated opinions do not actually work on reddit. I've learned to stop commenting on things involving my area of work because some snarky adolescent who does not have any clue what they are talking about is going to be upvoted from the hivemind who also has no clue what they are talking about.
"nobody watches the preseason" is an entirely meaningless comment. Individuals who say they are going to boycott are often people that never had any motive to buy in the first place. Yep. Additionally, the majority of the time people who are up to date with the newest gaming controversies aren't just sports fans, which is obviously the largest playerbase of sports games. I believe a lot of individuals forget about this. For a lot of madden 2k etc. buyers that is gont be 1 of maybe 4 of 5 games they purchase that year they do not care about any controversy. Hell as a huge basketball and video game enthusiast I know 2k is fucking me but I really like basketball and play with 2k religiously and with friends why would I not buy it lol.
Probably especially true for people that need to announce their intentions really loudly. Like the people who dramatically declare they are leaving a forum. I'm skipping it (ironic, I know) but I understand the game is still going to perform really well. Same with the latest versions of 2K. When a get a craving to play Madden I will only pay $5 or $15 bucks to EA Perform and after a month I will be carried out. I wonder whether there are people like me and where they fall into those sales figures. Folks like you (and me) are who they created EA Play for, the kind that will buy a sports game to get in their group but not be fanatical about it. EA decided they would rather we give them the money directly rather than spend it buying a secondhand game which they get no money from.
But as much as when we factor in, we don't. If we are willing to wait 6-months to play the new Madden once the true season is over we are not the consumer they are after. I said I'd boycott, and that I did. TBF tho I own 20 and'm more than pleased updating to custom rosters. But the web said do not purchase it. Yet for 15 decades of no competition and mediocre incremental improvements, the game still sells, plus they create even more off MUT now than they do off of just selling the sport. A lot of the Madden crowd are individuals who play sports games like it and NBA2k religiously. Just because people don't play the names r/games enjoys doesn't mean they are lesser.
Most only buy that sngle match Madden or 2k, time investment to perform everything like badge grinding can take all of your time but I think it's easier now for to 99 and they want you to make numerous builds today. I play the thing mostly every year I simply dont get it in launch due to the sideshow it's and it drops cost quickly. Or maybe the population that's complaining on the world wide web has nothing to do with the population that's generally buying games such as Madden, NBA 2K along with other games in this way. Despite the complaining people do this, these matches are almost always very great. They constantly have like 7different game modes and approaches to play. You can stay away from all micro trades incredibly easily.
There isn't anything wrong with paying $60 on a game every year if you are spending 300+ hours playing it. Many gamers do not realize the amount of console sales which take place is quite high just because of its particular purpose to play two or one annualized franchises. For the person who buys two matches a year such as Madden and NBA2K every calendar year, $60x2 for the hours and hours of time put into these matches, the worth is super high. The cheap Madden nfl 21 coins population of people who fall into that category are not on r/Games complaining about microtransactions and shit like that. They most likely don't even have a reddit account.
