You haven't mentioned which CCNA branch so I would assume you are talking about routing & switching since most people start from there. Here is what I studied to pass my CCNA r&s:
A study using cisco press’s official certifications guide, there are two books:
ICND1
Buy CCENT/CCNA ICND1 100-105 (Book & CD) Book Online at Low Prices in India
ICND2
CCNA Classes in Pune
Amazon. in: Buy CCNA ICND2 200-105 Off Cert Guide 1 ED Book Online at Low Prices in India
You can also prepare for the exam using CBTnuggets videos by Jeremy choir. I personally watched those videos for my preparations but books are better as videos will not cover some topics.
2. Practice all configurations and labs, You can use simulation software like packet tracer or GNS3. I would suggest using packet tracer for all configuration and labs practice as it is simpler and easier to use, one drawback is you might see some commands not available in packet tracer ( though you will be able to do almost all labs ). GNS3 on other hand supports all commands but can be overwhelming for beginners.

3. Spend some time on cisco’s forums.
The Cisco Learning Network
It is an excellent resource for students. If you are stuck on any problem during your studies, I am almost sure you can find your solution here. You can also create your account and ask questions yourself just like on quora.
To conclude, Books will help you understand concepts. Packet tracer and GNS3 will help you get the hands-on experience which is equally important and The Cisco Learning Network will help you fill some gaps and give you more knowledge.

Some tips:
Before taking an exam make sure you understand every topic listed on the exam syllabus blueprint, you can get that here >>
CCNA Exam Topics
2. If there are some topics you are not sure about, search on google and read more on cisco’s official documentation for those topics. For example, if you want to understand “EIGRP authentication configuration” then you can search that on google and follow any cisco’s official document like this one >> EIGRP Message Authentication Configuration Example
3. You don’t need to join any institutes for coaching as most of them will just waste your time. Self-study is more than sufficient.
