With modern metal framed bunk beds with stairs, the drawers are available in several styles: one row up, two rows down, and three rows. You can actually have one drawer on either side of the bed, with one drawer above the child's bed, and one below. In addition to the drawer style above, some bunk beds with stairs include a middle drawer that sits above the bottom bunk beds with stairs. This drawer style is attractive, but can also obstruct foot traffic underneath the bed.
