Park Hae-min, 33, who was part of the last Samsung Lions "dynasty" to win a championship, has returned to the LG Twins two years after joining the team. "The feeling of winning a championship with LG is different from when I was at Samsung," he beamed.

LG defeated KT 6-2 in Game 5 of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO Korean Series at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul to win the series 4-1.

While Oh Ji-hwan was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Korean Series, Park Hae-min was named the Daily MVP of the series-clinching Game 5.

Park batted second in the lineup and went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs, two runs scored, and two stolen bases. In particular, with runners on first and second in the top of the fourth inning with a 3-0 lead, he quickly ran and made a "super catch" on a hit by pinch-hitter Kim Min-hyuk to save the day. In fact, it was the moment when the game flowed to LG.

"Kim Min-hyuk had a very good batting feel, but I didn't think it was coming my way, but it was very helpful to trust the data from the power analysis team and be there," Park Hae-min said. "I threw with 100% faith that I would catch it, and the moment I caught it, I was convinced that we had won, so I made a big gesture," he laughed.

Park Hae-min, who won the Korean Series title with Samsung in 2014, won his second individual title. It's been nine years since he won his first title with Samsung.

"It's definitely a different feeling at LG than it was at Samsung," Park said, "especially since I'm playing knowing the story of 29 years. Last year was disappointing, but this year it feels really good to have a happy ending," said Park.

"When I won at Samsung, I felt like I was following my older brothers who were doing well, but this time I felt 토토사이트 like I was leading with (Oh) Ji-hwan and other players, so it's a different feeling," he said.

According to Park, the driving force behind their victory was "foreign batters. The presence or absence of a consistent foreign hitter had a huge impact on the team's strength.

"We haven't had a good outfielder for a few years, but this year, with Austin in the center, we were able to take the pressure off (Kim) Hyun-soo-hyung and Ji-hwan," Park said. "Austin is a player with not only great skills, but also great personality and desire to win. There's not much difference between him and last year's domestic players, but I think this part was really important."
